Box Wine Blues is Olly Davies fourth single.

Another track produced in lockdown - Olly employed his brother Luke to help produce as well as calling in some friends to provide excellent drums and bass.

Box Wine Blues focuses on Olly's internal struggle at a crossroads in his life. Music is a less sustainable source of income than ever before. Fresh out of university and isolated back at home Olly wrestles with the weight of his musical dreams and the reality of a tough period of economic uncertainty and increasing pressure to find alternate work. This is combined with a returning fear of being left behind by peers and relationships; a box wine fighting against better vintages.

The song features jazz inspired guitars and a prominent bass line to support Olly's distinctive and soulful vocals.

Genre wise Box Wine Blues falls between RnB and Indie Pop.

This is a great song for fans of Jamie Cullum and John Mayer.
